Wall Removal & Cable Railing Installation in Henderson

At GI Construction, we completed a unique home remodeling project in Henderson focused on opening up the living space and improving flow between the kitchen and living room.

The homeowners wanted to eliminate the closed-off feeling of their layout while still maintaining a subtle separation between spaces.

Removing the wall completely changed our home. The new cable railing looks amazing and keeps everything open while still feeling defined. We can now cook and talk with guests at the same time.

The Vision

The goal of this home remodeling project was to create a more open and connected layout between the kitchen and living room.

The homeowners wanted to remove the barrier that blocked interaction while still keeping a modern architectural element that would define each space.

The Transformation

We began by safely removing the existing dividing wall between the living room and kitchen, instantly opening up the space and allowing for better natural light and visibility throughout the home.

In place of the wall, we installed a modern horizontal cable railing system (often referred to as a cable rail or cable balustrade). This design features sleek metal posts with horizontal tension cables, creating a clean, contemporary look.

The cable railing maintains a sense of separation without obstructing sightlines, allowing the homeowners to stay connected whether cooking in the kitchen or relaxing in the living room.

This upgrade not only improves functionality but also adds a stylish architectural feature that complements the home’s interior design.

The Result
